Skilly autobiographical film
In this university assignment, I merged various artistic elements such as art direction, videography, typography, photography, and visual communication into a single medium. My project focused on crafting a creative autobiographical film exploring the transition from adolescence to adulthood. The narrative was conveyed through voice overs and archival footage. Throughout the project, I embraced a trial-and-error approach, aiming to meet both design principles and my personal aesthetic as a designer. I’m proud of the outcome, which encapsulates the concept of metamorphosis. My main concpet came from a book which was my favourite as a child, The Very Hungry Catterpillar. I explored the trasniiton of the metamorphosis and implemented this into my project. This experience taught me valuable lessons about visual evaluation in creative work and the importance of precise and meaningful art direction.
Self initiated project
I created a zombie illustration and decided to explore a new medium by using Screen printing at university to make the t-shirts. To showcase them, I organized a photo shoot, marking my first experience as an art director. Through this, I learned the importance of having a clear vision in this role, strengthening my understanding of it. A friend modeled the t-shirts for me, and I captured the photos using my iPhone. I was quite satisfied with the results of this first-time photo shoot experience.
